Classic Coach has been an industry leader in safety for many years. We spend about $7,000 per year, per coach on safety related expenses, more than most bus companies in the US. We currently have a Satisfactory safety rating with NYS Dept of Transportation and US Dept of Transportation.
Also, we recently received the Safety Leader award by the United Motorcoach Association and have received other industry safety awards in the past. The award recognizes an individual who is actively engaged in the industry and who has demonstrated achievements for their company and/or industry.
We have a strong driver safety program that includes MPRI simulator training, iDrive event recorders, GPS system, and Mobileview interior camera system installed on our entire fleet. MobileView is an interior camera system that provides real time on-demand viewing into each motorcoach allowing operations the ability to view what is going on inside the motorcoach at any time from any computer, iPod, iPad, iPhone or any smart phone.
MPRI is a leader in vehicle-simulation products, services and education. They have successfully trained thousands of drivers in transportation, emergency responder, novice driver, and the military. MPRI allows us to prepare drivers for the real experiences every motorcoach driver could encounter on the road.
The idrive system is a professional event data recorder system for vehicles which can capture high definition videos, both of the front of the vehicle and the interior, using a dual camera device and records when an event occurs, including: accidents, aggressive driving behavior, door open event or panic. The idrive system reduces the frequency and the severity of unsafe driving behaviors and will objectively report the truth as to what actually happened when the accident occurred.
